This is my first blog about the my Entrepreneurial idea about "Everyone can make Film". This idea is basically about start a website that combines the function of facebook and a Forum website. Which allows the people who love watching films and like to make films to make friends with each other, and sharing their works with each other. Also this website could be a good resource of the Film company.
The social network is the most basic function of this website. Millions of people are now on Facebook and also in China their is a similar website called "RenRen" that almost every Chinese students have one account.
The website can be started as a link application of Facebook, twitter, RenRen and any other social networks. Which every social network users can link their account to the website and starts sharing their works and find friends in their. Also they can starts a new account in the website. Social can be a great way to let people get familiar with this idea and make a move of trying.
Would you see film companies using this sort of a site for getting inspiration/looking for rising talent? How would you handle ownership of the work, i assume that the ideas and content shared would be owned by the person that shared it. I think it would be a good way to get people with similar interests to meet and collaborate.

回复删除I think this is a cool idea because I am a TV, Radio, Film major. A site like this would be a great source for me because it could help me get my work out as well as give me inspiration for work. It can also help me network. If this site became big, professionals may look at it and take note of students work and get in contact with them. My only question is how is this different from a site like youtube? Would it be more for professional and independent films?
